Don’t buy from MESH – a viewpoint
I thought I was smart taking out a three year Return To Base warranty on a PC that I bought from MESH, in 2007. This home PC has now got a serious problem with either the PSU or motherboard.
So this is what I went through yesterday…
1) Spent an hour on their website trying to find out how to do a return to repair …they obfuscate wonderfully, except when they are selling you something.
2) Called their 0871 repair line which gave me a hold message for 5.5 minutes before a human came on the line.
3) After nearly 18 minutes on the toll number I had established that I had to wait three days to receive a label, which I then had to stick on my own packaging of the tower unit, which I then had to send to them at my expense, AND pay £15 for them to send it back.
By this time, I realised that even if they got it and looked at it, they’ll probably find a wriggle and say it’s not covered (oh dust inside – your fault).
So I told them FIRMLY to forget it, and what I thought of MESH and how I will never buy from them again …and I’d like to share this viewpoint with as many folk I know.
