We don’t really have much of a back office with payroll, inventory, order processing, etc. If we did we’d probably outsource it, certainly the payroll. We manage accounting using a combination of PayPal, Google Checkout, Spreadsheets and Sites.
What other back office processes we have we can cope with in our front office processes, including project management and vendor management.
The way we see it our front office processes are Planning, Scheduling, and Relationship Management. It doesn’t matter whether this is for sales, customer service, projects, ToDo’s etc. They all need the same Plan>Act>Review capability and workflow.
So this is easy for us – we use Front Office Box of course.
We’re rebuilding our new user registration process and, pending the new version, we are using Wufoo for registration forms.
It works well enough, but it’s too expensive for what we do, and Webrequest is a much more flexible tool for collecting information via web forms
